Oriental Cats of Norway

My name is Aino Ludviksen, I was born and raised as a child in Tromsø. Now I'm living in Vesterålen in a city called Sortland, here I have lived since 1997. I have my whole life pursue with animals. Specially horses, cats and dogs have been my great passion.

During the past years I´ve lived at several places in the northern part of Norway, Tromsø; Helgeland and Lofoten. I am stunned by the beautiful nature we have in my part of the country… heavenly beauty…

While growing up there were always cats in our home…I believe that living without cats would be an empty life for me and my family. The Siamese came in to my life for the first time in 1996. "Vikki" or Victoria that was her real name was a chocolate tabby Siamese. She immediately melted our hearts. Victoria was the most loving cat I´ve ever had. She loved me like I loved her, and she always assured me that she loved me. Wherever I was in the house, "Vikki" was too. She was the best friend ever. Unfortunately Victoria got sick, she got cancer at age of four years, and I lost her. My sorrow is difficult to describe, but it took me a long time to get a new cat. Victoria will always be remembered and she will always have a special place in my heart.

As the years have passed we have achieved breeding new Siamese cats with this lovely temperament. To be a breeder of this breed has not been easy (in the northern part of Norway), I have felt that I have fought a battle alone to get the breed accepted in several ways. To day I feel that I've succeeded. It is great fun to go to shows where you can see kittens after our cats … so the work I have done have given results. I hope that you will enjoy your stay at my homepage, and look at my precious cats… so with these words I salute the ancestors of the Oriental cats…

My cattery has been registered in Fifé since 1995, back then I was living in Lofoten. The highest mountain in Vestvågøy is "Himmeltinden". "Himmeltinden" was my view from my kitchen window…. High, majestetic… in to the sky… therefore the Siamese cat was for me as majestetic as "Himmeltinden" so the best prefix I could get is the prefix you will see at every kitten sold from me, (N)Himmeltinden's
